Recipe for Disaster

Oh yeah.....that's right.  I got a Derpy/Spitfire comic in a seasonal comic form.    I am gonna enjoy reading all the hateful comments around the net and here of people that CONSTANTLY b**ch and moan whenever I make these.  Just gives me more ammo to keep do even more than I planned.  Funny enough I actually haven't done this since S5 and the Tantabus EP with Luna and that one was a great comic in my opinion I did.  Honestly this episode didn't give me a lot to work with at all as far as ideas for cause it was rather bland and was kind of....basic in my opinion.  Sometimes that give me an idea that clicks but in this case I needed to work around it and so why not do a Derpy/Spitfire comic.  Now there's 6 muffins in this.....which one is the real one I usually like to hide. 


Now I will say this was probably one of the more annoying comics I've had to do in a way in a while.  The main thing was trying to figure out how in the hell to make a kitchen that would seem to fit Derpy's taste and also just keeping it in a more rustic feel. I actually only had the kitchen from the S2 finale and one other EP I can't remember where I grabbed something from as a idea to gather ideas from.  I will say I am happy with how this came out despite it being a total pain in the ass to figure out as I went on with the backgrounds.    I will say that Maud and Pinkie I haven't made in quite a while.....especially Maud so they may look a tick off but that's to be expected with how little I make them as normal ponies.  I am still kind of in off-season mode a little making more filly/teen ponies.    Oh and fun fact....I literally had no idea how to make a normal industrial oven so this weirdly enough slightly turned into one of those pizza ovens.  I have no clue why it did but you can bake stuff in this.    I think it was a subconscious thing or something why that last panel turned out like that.  But hell as I said this season I am planning to get a little weird with these season comics this time around. 


Alright well that will do it on this one.  I will say that I never planned for this to be a Derpy/Spitfire comic cause usually I love saving these for the off-season but....this comic and episode pretty much steered me into making it....and I love it.  It's actually strange in a way how few times I do anything Derpy during the season but how much I make with her out of the season.  I don't mind that one bit but I always found it kind of weird in a way.  Ah well.  Now that this one is done I will enjoy reading some comments as moving on to EP 5 (yes I saw the early released EPs).
