Opening Day

Ok I am just gonna say it.......that was hands down the best episode of the season.  I absolutely loved all the reporter scenes and taking the mane 6 out of their elements like that.    That was just so damn good and clever to do.  I actually am kind of surprised again this comic can be relevant to the EP again.  I did hid the muffin in this.   


So if you are wondering.....yes I did put the actual shops and street the shop is on.  The buildings in manehattan are surprisingly hard as hell for me to do. I didn't expect that going into the comic but about 3/4 the buildings I had to make up as I went.  I really had to use a lot of references and screenshots and play with the idea of mixing and matching which stuff I liked from one building and stuff from another.  That was probably the biggest challenge of this comic was trying to figure out what color and type of buildings to make.  I did have some freedom a little when it came to the street level but still....this was not and easy comic for me to make.    I did actually find though mixing up the perspectives was kind of neat on this comic....haven't tried that much.


Anyway hope you guys like the episode and comic.  As I said this was by far....BY FAR my favorite episode this season. I really liked how they did this one.  I got an interesting comic for next week.  That is the EP I personally am most looking forward to this entire season cause it has so much potential to be so damn good.
