Twilight....I hate drawing your library. I can't tell you guys how annoying it is to do the library settings for comic. :iconapplejacknoesplz: Those...books....UGH those many books. I was seeing books in my dreams last night. Each book completely different...seperately drawn. Someone hit me with a frying pan. This comic officially holds the record on a background....14 1/2 hours. :faint:Those books once agan were the huge reason.

So yeah it's been a while since I did a true Twilight comic but I wanted to try something different. I was trying to imagine Rainbow Dash officially having an autobiography book as mentioned in Mare Do Well. I'm gonna be hard on myself on this one.....this comic just doesn't feel right to me. :O I feel like I used 4 different styles of Twilight in this. IDK you may see it differently but that's what I see. I was experimenting a lot with stuff and for whatever reason it's just they way it came out. That final Twilight I worked on back to head....that came out nice. :)

Overall IDK....I like the comic but in my eyes it wasn't up to MY standards. :iconfluttershysadplz: It should have been better but I was nearly dead at the end of this one. Honestly the library is the hardest background to do. I have no idea why that is....oh wait....yes I do....the books! Great...thinking about them again. Off to the next comic...a non-book one. :XD: Coments on this? Critique?

Time spent: 22 hours over 5 nights
How I did it?: Paper + Photoshop CS5

In terms of the overall art style, I think this comic deserves credit for staying within the bounds of the established look and feel of the show. Having said that, I would be lying if I said that it looked exactly like the art style of the show as I can honestly say that I've seen other comics where the characters look more like actual images from the cartoon itself. But since the difference in the quality of those images is so small, that's no criticism.

When it comes to the humour this comic is a triumph all the way. Not only is the final joke hilarious, but it pulls it off by having the two respective characters be completely in-character to do so. Twilight's neatness, her dismay over such content in one of her books, Rainbow Dash's self-confidence and occasional arrogance, it's all in here, so thumbs up on that one. It really does feel like this is the kind of joke the show would have in it. Plus, it doesn't hurt that it actually managed to make me laugh out loud when reading it for the first time.

When it comes to originality, I can safely say that I have not seen a comic with this exact type of story in it. As such the comic deserves credit for doing something with the characters that I have yet to see elsewhere.

Is this the funniest MLP comic I've seen? No. Is it the best drawn comic I've ever seen? Again, no. But that is no strike against it, not by a long shot. It's clear that this piece had a great deal of love and attention thrown behond it and that, coupled with the relatively clean art style and good humour, is certainly something I can respect.

A worthy entry from the artist.

Twilights head shape seemed a bit lacking for her body. Her eyes were a bit off in color at the bottom and made it look like she was squinting a bit in the panels where her eyes were fully open. For the background. The work you did for the books to look individual is good and adds to the total piece itself. The stairs though were slightly off I think. The first two steps were the same but the following steps were odd, maybe it's the wrapping effect of the stairs going up I don't know. Overall very good work I think.

What's with all the other pages?! One page full of words while the others are blank?

All the other pages are filled with "cool, awesome, radical".

Well, the story both started and ended on that one page, so those adjectives must've made up the afterword.
