Reuploaded: I cleaned it up more.


Hooray I finally was able to get this out. Yes folks I decided to use #1. :iconlaplz: I 100% free drew this in Chemistry yesterday....then needed to redo it...without onto blank printing paper, scanned it, then worked for about 5 hours in GIMP to get it right. It's so hard to retrace what I did without a tablet right now.:faint:

Still a little somewhat uneasy when it comes to shading but with practice I think it'll get better. Just image something is blocking sunlight on the right side. Had a stupid mistake when I originally did the purple and the outline shows. Tried cleaning it up as much as possible.


If I had my tablet I think this would have come out better. His head and neck are just weird once I retraced them in GIMP. Still working out the final colors as far as how dark or bright they need to be. This is a BASE color sketch. However I'm thinking about changing the eye to a darker blue. I'm a little afraid that eye color looks too similar to :iconcynder-and-spyro-fan:'s dragon Syke. What you think? :stupidme: Should I keep it?

Now I need to do the rest of his body.....this will be adventure. :faint:Starting to think of names....but nothing has come up yet. :eager: One of my friends says it looks like Barney the Dinosaur. Wasn't expecting that but like I said....this is just base color...the final thing will be a little better. But I might want to wait till the tablet get in. We'll see. If you guys what me to do it so bad I can try and do it without it...for now. :dance:

It's great work :)
But if you want a tip, make the lineart and colour a seperate layer, then you won't have to deal with annoying bits of white in your piccys >.<

Yeah I did something stupid. :stupidme:I knew what it was but it was just going to be way too much to correct. It's alright though. This is why it's a rough sketch with base colors before the full body one. That's the one I'm hoping to do with my tablet in the next several day when it comes in. :D
