:iconpinkiesmileplz: *Ding Ding Ding* we have a NEW background record for a MLP comic. I even said that this would happen and the record was broken when I livestreamed it. Took me close to 14 1/2 hours to background this. Each panel is it's own seperate background....and boy was that a pain.....especially the last panel. Someone get me to ice water....I need it after this one for my wrist.

So this is TOTALLY new. There's never before been a Mrs. Cake featured comic and boy am I really pushing the boudaries this time. She....is not easy to draw and this was my first time drawing her. :iconpinkiepienoesplz: That hair gave me soooooooooo much trouble when I was paper sketching it. So much erasing. Some images are better than others....hence you can tell I got better each new one I drew. :XD: Also this is the 2nd time I've ever drawn filly Pinkie....but a first in that style. A LOT of new firsts in this comic. Like the slurred speach on the last panel with the tray in Pinkie's mouth?

Overall I'm extremely pleased with the way this turned out. I got sick of snow comics for now and I want to get back into doing these complex backgrounds and building type settings. :D Really wanted to test my limits....and this was a huge test I pulled off. So guys....what you think? Comments? Critiques?

Time spent: 19-20 hours over 4 nights <-close to a record
How I did it?: Paper + Photoshop CS5

PLEASE don't COPY, trace, or recolor any of this WITHOUT asking me. Remember to link this back to me if you put this on a site or something.

Few small things. The only technical problems are in Pinkie's jaw (a bit square) and the cupboard (looks fuzzy, like I need new glasses). In terms of actually getting it done, this is a very well-put-together piece.
However, the presentation is a bit lacking. If you were to apply this style of artwork to a different story, this piece would be much improved. The concept is good, but delivery is the flaw.
A few things that could help: ask yourself exactly why you are creating the piece. It is meant to be funny, serious, sad, happy, etc. Take the answer to that question and draw rough sketches to make sure this goal is achieved. Slight over exaggeration can help. Afterwards, take the sketches and make it pretty.

You have potential. Please take my critique positively; I'm not trying to be mean. Try to use it to improve on what you already have.
