I Forgot One Thing by Toxic-Mario I Forgot One Thing by Toxic-Mario
Ok if you don't get slightly emotional over this one I didnt do my job and I probably should just quit DA. :XD: After 2 grueling weeks of working on this one I finally got it done. Photoshoped this all in 2 nights. Trying to work on this one while working on 3 other things at the same time is partly why this happened. Still....this is my favorite AWWWWWW MLP comic so far.

So I actually started sketching this up after my Time for Pie comic. I streamed Cutie mark Cronicles and somehow that gave be the idea to do Twilight's first day of school with Celestia. :meow: How she would be officially going with Celestia to be tought how to control her raw and untapped powers. So yeah....first time I drew Twilight's parents. Turns out there fan names are Star Sparkle and Crescent Sparkle. I actually didn't know that...even now after 6 months in the fandom. :stupidme:

Overall guys I love how this turned out. :) Background sucked this time around cause, well, there's barely anything on Canterlot....and at the angle I chose it's literally looking off the cliffside. Oh and strange...anyone notice a slight Finding Nemo reference to this entire comic? Didn't mean to turn out like that but....whatever it works. :iconpinkiepienoesplz: Anyway you guys like this? Leave a comment and tell me what you think? Onto thee next one!

Time spent: 18 hours over a lazy 2 weeks + other comics
Program: Paper + Photoshop CS5

PLEASE don't COPY, trace, or recolor any of this WITHOUT asking me. Remember to link this back to me if you put this on a site or something.

I have said it before and I will say it again. Great job!

This is definitely a tear-jerker. It depicts that one moment in every parents' life where they have to inevitably release their children into the world so that they can fend for themselves. The everlasting bond between parents and their children is also prevalent; a bond that can never be broken - not even by distance or lack of contact. They are simple ideas that everybody understands, but may be more difficult to picture if never experienced before by the viewer. You have done a great job in displaying the meaning behind these ideas in a simple comic format. This work pulls on the viewer's emotions, showing them that something similar IS going to happen to them whether they are the parent or the child, and prepares them for such an event.

The drawing style, colors, texture, and characters are very true to the original. That is another thing that I enjoy about your works. The backgrounds of the separate panels are full, meaning they are not just simple "diddly-squat" background, but full of detail that must have required a lot of time and work to make it just right. Again, great job on the attention to facial expressions - it's something that I have yet to even attempt. You are truly a master at creating emotions in characters through their face.

I have to say that this one did bring a tear to my eye. Although I don't live with my parents, I am still very dependent on them and I am still able to visit them whenever I want; but when I finally graduate from college, I will most likely move away, especially as a computer science major. This comic reminded me that I still have to deal with this separation - I'm not there yet. It's a very upsetting thing to think about.

Bravo! :)
