2016 Summary of Art

Oh my how another year flies by huh.  I feel like this year for some reason seemed a lot faster than last year.  I am uploading one more comic before the new year after this but that I will do when I wake back up.  I got to try a lot of new things this year and man the S6 comics were a real challenge this year cause this year was very Rarity heavy during the season and I couldn't fit my favorite pony Derpy into a lot of comics into the season as I thought this year.  One year it will happen.    Now out of season....I went crazy with her and even ATM in the off-season and I started anthro stuff this year which was neat.   


January - Heavy crossover month.  I did the yuno-gasai pinkie and began the 4th version of the DBZ ponies.  I did get 2 comics in this time including a cute little Twi one and a Derpy comic which was the first time I got to make Doctor Hooves.    

February - Around this time was when I began getting the urge to try anthro stuff but I was more so getting the feel for it here and there on paper.  I still had so much at the time to plan for with the new season coming but I did get 2 more DBZ ones and 2 comics done.  Again....I suck at making Celestia.

March - March was crazy cause I got wanted to get a head start on the S6 comics before the EPs released so that's what I did.  Only did the DBZ AJ one this month...well...released anyway.  The Pinkie one was done but I saved the upload for that a little later.  I finished up the rest of the off-season comics I had and I love that Pinkie/maud comic in this month.  First S6 comic too.

April - Here came S6 with venegence.  Lot of variety of comics this month and boy did they give me a challenge on the background and the ponies I had to make in these.  The Spike comic was my favorite this month cause of the buff spike. 

May -  Due to the one week break in EPs I pushed out another filly comic.  This month was super Twilight heavy cause I think it's just the way the episode worked out and all the stuff with what I had in mind from the synopsis.   Most comics all year with 5 that month.

June - So I will confess that the 3 anthros I put out around this time were done in May but I needed to wait till the mid-season break around this time to release them.  IDK why I did that but eh....it keeps it organized.  I love the Twilight spa comic I did this month and the first Rara/AJ comic I ever done with the 2 of them with the camp.

July - Released the 2 other anthros I had completed during the break with some polishing.  As usual another Derpy/spitfire comic during the EP break and then we get the 2nd half of S6 starting.

August - Lot of variety this month with EPs and the comics.  The comics were especially hard this month cause of the locations and the fact I had to draw stuff I never made before.........like a teen Flurry heart.  D:

September - This was an amusing month cause of the football comics with FS and Pinkei I got to make with them really buffed up.  I totally got that EP messed up.  one of the few comics I will ever throw in 4 different ponies.  Very CMC heavy month too with 2 comics of them.

October - Busy month too with 6 things released to make it the most busy month of the year.  4 comics to wrap up the season.  The buff Applebloom one is just weird and the wonderbolt comic was interesting.  I did re-model my Wereluna concept this month and I will continue to work out the kinks in this one.  Also re-made my Revy Gilda one from 2015. 

November - And now the off-season comics can begin again and boy do I love getting back on filly comics again.  Lot more to do with them and this month is where I began pumping out the anthro stuff again which I began to do again in Mid-October.


December - Of course 2 more anthros and more Derpy comics.  I just love the Derpy/AJ comics and the spitfire series.  I seem to put Derpy in a lot of comics with AJ and I think it's cause of the dynamic AJ is and how grounded she is that Derpy's weird personality is a good mix here and there.


Overall guys this was a challenging year cause there was a lot of new stuff to try out.  I am gonna try and polish more on the anthros in 2017 and into this off-season before the S7 begins.  I think this year will be another big comic year too.    Stick around guys as I push into year 6 of me doing pony.
